Travis Chock Launches Baseballism, LLC

Former NW Star Academy Staff Member Travis Chock has launched a unique baseball project on kickstarter, a platform that helps small businesses and projects get off the ground.

The project is called Baseballism and its purpose is to unite the fans of baseball through premium casual apparel and merchandise paying homage to the class, the history, and the culture of baseball.

With the apparel and merchandise as the backbone of the company, they will eventually branch off to involvement in baseball related events on a national level.

Click the kickstarter link and support a great project. Their apparel is made in America.

NW Star Academy named host of 2012 State American Legion Championships!

NW Star Academy has been awarded the 2012 State American Legion Championships. The tournament will be hosted at the beautiful new Athletic complex (Hilken Community Stadium) on the campus of Concordia University from August 1-5. The state of the Art facility and other amenities makes it one of the finest venues in the area to host this prestigious event. There are many success stories in American Legion Baseball throughout the State of Oregon over the years. We are excited to host the event and showcase the championship format bringing together the best eight teams in the State of Oregon, stated NWS President, Jerry Gatto. A recent resurgence of teams in the Tri-County region and the many established teams throughout the state gives our youth a good perspective and better understanding of the American way of life and promotes the principles of "Americanism" through Baseball. The event promises to be a fun atmosphere with plans to invite past alumni Legion players and American Legion veterans. Other added special events will create a positive atmosphere for all Baseball enthusiasts.

There are numerous ways that, if interested, you can help in the planning process. If interested in joining our planning committee or willing to consider specific sponsorship opportunities, gives us a call and we would be happy to discuss the many options available.
